Now look at the mess above …

One day, for God’s Sake.  Does anybody remember the dead agent who was shot with guns purchased by the Obama government in Texas border towns and sold to gun runners from Mexican drug gangs?  The Bush bunch considered it for a short time, came to the conclusion it was a stupid idea and dumped the project.  Obama’s bunch picked it up and ran with it, then when it went very bad, blamed it on Bush, like everything else.  Just look at that mess of scandals up there.

Concerning the “special counsel” function.

My memory of the Nixon era is that there were at least two ways, possibly more, to appoint a special counsel back then. (A special counsel has his own budget and doesn’t report to the AG like an Inspector General does.)  Back then, I think he was called an “independent counsel.”  It’s been few years and my memory isn’t solid on this one.  Now, this current item, the IRS targeting of T-Party groups for political harassment (and/or the Associated Press internal communications  system, whatever that project was about) is (like the Fast and Furious Mexican gun running fiasco) a project over which your Attorney General, Eric Holder, had shared or even direct supervision.  If I understood FOX contributor, Judge Napolitano, correctly this morning, when, yesterday, Holder “recused himself” (dismissed himself from activity on the subject), the way the special counsel law is now written, nobody else can do it. (Appoint the special counsel.)

Let me repeat that.  If I’ve deciphered the fog of words correctly, here, in the past more officials than the AG (say a House committee) once could appoint a special investigative counsel like this, but in the fairly recent past, Congress has altered the law so only the Attorney General of the United States can now do it.  That would be Eric Holder, who just officially took himself out of the game.  No Attorney General, no special independent counsel, I suppose.  At least like the kind so many people are demanding.

One wonders if that little item happened the first two years of Obama’s first term, when he had total control of both houses of Congress?  But, maybe Bush let that slip by, for all I know.  He let the Frank-Dodd fair housing act happen and damn near bankrupted the nation,  So, either the easy mark from Texas or the Chicago thug whose brother lives in a mud hut in Africa is probably responsible for this giving the special counsel power totally to Holder.

So, the question is, should the Obama administration be named “The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight” or “When the Borgia’s Ran the Vatican” ???

As with all liberal, progressive, socialist, communist fascists — are they titanically evil, titanically stupid or just the endgame perfection of the evolution of sewer bacteria?
